These oversized Mayflower Stamps tea towels feature a unique monochrome stamp design for a beautiful vintage look.

Hampshire artist & printmaker Hannah Fitzpatrick created unique prints from original Mayflower stamps from around the world: New Zealand, Mali, USA and the Isle of Man. Acknowledged as a leading talent in printmaking and chair of the Solent branch of the British Printing Society, Hannah’s Mayflower prints are featured by Southampton Art Gallery as part of the Mayflower 400 exhibition.

We are delighted and proud to be working with Hannah to create these timeless designs which will look stunning in any kitchen, from retro to classic and even contemporary. The vintage look is on-trend and here to stay for some time!

Our committment to sustainability is ongoing and our oversized Mayflower Stamps tea towels are printed the eco-friendly way on ethically-sourced, 100% cotton drill with vegetable inks. No solvents or harsh cleaning agents are used as part of the printing process. The tea towels are hand finished with beautiful hem details and a loop tag which means you can hang them on a kitchen hook if you wish.

Southampton is at the heart of the Mayflower story, when in the summer of 1620 the Mayflower and the Speedwell convened in Southampton. Here they finalised their journey plans and sourced all the provisions they would need for their long crossing of the Atlantic. The Pilgrims (then known as ‘Saints’) embarked both ships in Southampton, near where West Quay currently stands. The ships departed on August 15th and made a further, technical stop in Plymouth.
